DF 5 KIMURA Seiji

Despite being unable to participate in the USA tour in June due to his physical condition, he made a significant impact at the AFC U23 Asian Cup.
As well as leading the backline as a centre-back, he also made the most of his 186cm height in offence, scoring from corner kicks against the UAE and Qatar.
“I'm relieved to be selected, but I also recognise the responsibility that comes with it. I am fully committed to doing my utmost for the team.”
As he showed in the competitions in Asia, he will be expected to make an impact in both offence and defence at the Paris Olympics.
